For five decades the Petroleum Packaging Council has served petroleum packaging professionals exclusively as their premiere technical trade association.

President's Message

Wow! Where did the time go? It seems I was just waiting for the leaves to change color, then Christmas came and went, the New Year passed, and now we’re just a few weeks from the Spring Meeting in Tampa.

And what a meeting it will be. If you haven’t signed up, you’d better hurry or you’ll miss sessions on Robotics, Electrostatic Hazards in Packaging, new ILSAC GF-5 specs, Resins, Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility in Lube Packaging, Voice of the Customer, Benchmarking, and a Nestle Waters plant tour. And that doesn’t even include events like golf, receptions, a banquet, a spouse tour, a Fun Run, and all the networking and entertaining possibilities in between.

2007 proved to be an interesting year for the organization that afforded the Board of Directors and Long Range Planning Committee some opportunities to evaluate the entire structure of the PPC – officers, committee chairs, membership, meetings, marketing - and develop some innovative ideas for a long range plan that will keep the organization vital and relevant to our members for years to come.
