Lubricants foundation is an integrated value chain that starts with the refining and manufacturing of crude feedstocks into base oils, which then are sold into the marketplace or further manufactured at the company's blending facilities as branded lubricants. The company's five proprietary blending facilities and its world-class research and development facilities enable ConocoPhillips to supply premium quality products.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for managing packaging raw materials and associated suppliers. This includes implementing packaging graphic and text changes, designing and developing new product packaging, and identifying and qualifying new suppliers.

The Coordinator, Packaging, Lubricants Business may be responsible for:

  • Secure new packaging raw materials, manage new product transitions, and coordinate product deletions within the Lubricants management system.
  • Coordinate between Brand Management, Product Management , and the vendor on packaging design changes
  • Participate in the packaging design process
  • Implement packaging graphic and text changes, including design development and approvals
  • Participate in supplier assessments for packaging changes and supporting conversions at the plants
  • Manage the product management process (PASS) for the addition or deletion of packaging raw materials and the management of transition inventories
  • Serve as primary point of contact for plant for vendor communications.
  • Manage packaging raw material projects to completion timely and within project budget.
  • Manage the label database
  • Manage label revisions and the associated hazard warnings
  • Manage inventory levels at vendor locations
  • Resolve supply and quality issues with packaging suppliers
  • Perform special projects as needed

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Five years experience in a packaging material industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelors degree
  • Experience in Lubricants packaging design and procurement
  • Skilled in "attention to detail" when reviewing art/graphic work product and packaging material proofs
  • Excellent technical, logistical and product line knowledge with industry/business expertise.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with customers.
  • Accepts ownership, is accountable, and delivers on commitments.
  • Ability to prioritize work without close supervision.
  • Creative, innovative and oriented towards continuous improvement.
  • Provides inspiration and instills confidence in others, and delegates effectively.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Access software.
  • Proficiency in economic evaluation.
  • Strong process orientation

Technical Service Manager

The Technical Service Manager oversees and handles day-to-day technical services for customer accounts as well as provides technical support for manufacturing facilities, working under the Vice President of Technology. Job functions include support for sales efforts as well as technical support for our operations division. The Technical Service Manager oversees all aspects of product quality, including specifications (manufacturing, purchasing, sales), certificates of analyses and run charts. He or she also oversees the quality system, answering customer complaints and insuring timely responses and resolving issues with root cause analysis and insuring steps to prevent recurrence are implemented.

National Account Manager – Northeast/Eastern Canada/Mid-West

The National Account Manager oversees and handles day-to-day account services, working under the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The National Account Manager fosters mutual trust and develops a great relationship with the customer. This person will be responsible for the current customer base and expand the customer base in his territory. They must demonstrate solid strategic thinking. They work in conjunction with other departments to ensure timely shipments, forecast sales projections, quick responsive turnaround and maximize creative selling solutions.
