Distribution Operations Manager

Company Overview:
Lube-Tech is a $150mm privately held diversified petrochemical manufacturing
and distribution company. Lube-Tech distributes industrial, automotive
and commercial lubricants, fuels and related chemicals throughout Minnesota
and the surrounding states for brands such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, and
ConocoPhillips. The company also manufactures, distributes and markets
proprietary lubricants and chemicals for small engine original equipment
manufacturers.
The primary focus of this position will be to manage Transportation,
Warehousing, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving and Customer Service
operations.
- Develop distribution operations plan including key strategies and
financial plan. Establish, communicate, and measure organizational objectives.
- Manage Operations & Customer Service team and effectively lead
by providing clear direction and training.
- Improve operational efficiencies
- Serve as company representative to major suppliers for facility-related
and operations-related safety (OSHA), regulatory compliance, ISO standards,
HAZMAT policies and quality control issues. Act as corporate representative
to all regulatory officers together with the COO.
- Ensure compliance of DOT regulations.
- Direct and maintain company owned fleet including on-going maintenance
and fleet rotation plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in Transportation,Warehouse Management,
and Logistics.
- Background in fleet management/bulk transportation with a company
owned fleet required.
- Previous experience within the fuels or petrochemical industries
is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience in utilizing MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and WMS systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve.
- Understanding of DOT, state, federal and ICC regulations.

Career Opportunity
Develop and manage a team environment for all the employees in fuel sales,
delivery, and order processing to achieve plan objectives.
- Manage relationships with major fuel vendors including participation
in contract negotiations. This includes managing fuel inventories, forward
buys, and fuel futures.
- Manage product mix and product strategy.
- Manage hedge portfolio.
- Work with the sales and marketing department in marketing analysis,
managing relationships with our major accounts, administering trade
shows and Association participation, sales promotions, advertising,
and promotion campaigns.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure that information and technical
issues are managed for accuracy and reliability. Ensure processes are
in place to effectively manage customer experience including pricing,
delivery and billing.
- Manage department expenses and prioritize offerings to customers.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the fuel industry.
- Minimum of 3 years sales and/or marketing experience
- Minimum of 3 years management experience
- Bachelor degree or commensurate experience required.
